Loops are a reletively new tool in the music industry. Looping pedals have captivated audiences around the world with their ability to transform one man and a guitar into a full band without lifeless pre-recorded backing tracks. With the use of a looping pedal you can lay down your own accompaniments using guitar, piano, saxophone or any other sound you wish to include.

Often artists will be excited to aquire a looping station and left feeling deflated after they realise it isn’t as easy as it looks. Throwing the pedal under the bed to gather dust they soldier on with an empty sound. An empty stage does not have to mean an empty sound.

Under the guidance of master loop artist Martin Menzie you can acquire the knowledge and experience to become a competent live looper. Martin’s repertoire includes guitar, percussive guitar, live loops, saxophone, and flute. He performs solo and with several bands around Madrid.

 

We will cover all aspects of looping theory and of course apply that theory in a practical environment. So dig out that pedal and learn how to use it!

We will dissect some examples of popular songs arranged for the loop pedal and also each student will be taught a new song to apply the subjects covered in the class.
