“Music is a part of me that makes my life easier and happier”

“My name is María José Arcas Mouliaá and I was born in Lorca (Murcia) in 1994. When I was three years old I started going to dance classes, and at six years old I started singing and composing; a few years later I learned to play the guitar. At seventeen, I discovered theater and it was at that moment I knew that studying drama would make me happy. I graduated in Musical Theater in ESAD located in Murcia; although I also combined it with my university studies in Economy (it’s a long story).
In the past few years, I have starred in the musical “El libro de la selva” in the role of Bagheera and I have been in a gospel chorus called “Belter Souls”, among other things. Last October I moved to Madrid; here I have performed in the dinner show “Bule Bule” singing and dancing. I am currently preparing for the musical “Ghost” which will appear in a theater on Gran Vía in October.”
«Mi nombre es María José Arcas Mouliaá y nací en Lorca (Murcia) en 1994. Con tres años empecé a ir a clases de danza y con seis empecé a cantar y componer; pocos años después empecé a acompañarme con la guitarra. A los 17 descubrí el teatro y entonces supe que estudiar arte dramático podría hacerme feliz. Es por ello que me gradué en teatro musical en la ESAD de Murcia; aunque también lo compaginé con mis estudios universitarios de economía (es una larga historia). Durante los últimos años he protagonizado el musical “El libro de la selva” en el papel de Bagheera y formado parte del coro gospel “Belter Souls”, entre otras cosas. El pasado mes de octubre me mudé a Madrid; aquí he trabajado en el dinner show “Bule Bule” como cantante y bailarina. Actualmente estoy trabajando en el musical “Ghost” que llegará a la Gran Vía de Madrid en octubre».
