Cello, violín, guitarra, voces… En FANEKA destacan la fuerza de los instrumentos de cuerda y la fusión de los diferentes registros vocales. A veces también metemos más instrumentos (percusión, charango, ukelele). Ellas mola el folk, el swing, el rock… ellas sonido es crudo y sencillo pero algo misterioso y mágico.
Cello, violin, guitar, voices … In FANEKA they emphasize the strength of their stringed instruments and the fusion of their vocal variety. Sometimes they also add more instruments (percussion, charango, ukulele). They folk, swing, rock … their sound is raw and simple but something mysterious and magical.
FANEKA lleva existiendo desde que, hace años, Inés componía sola, pero fue en 2016 cuando conoció a Bruna (al cello), y lentamente empezó a surgir un sonido nuevo y mágico. Hace solo un par de meses fue reclutada Anika al violín, y a veces contar con percusión, con alguna otra guitarra y trompeta.
FANEKA has existed for many years with Inés composing and performing originals solo, but it was in 2016 when she met Bruna (cellist), they slowly began to emerge creating a new and magical sound. Just a couple of months ago Anika was recruited to the violin, and sometimes they have percussion, another guitar and trumpet.
Bruna hizo su primera aparición en 1997. Según cuenta la leyenda, en un frondoso bosque de Catalunya había un árbol con forma de cello, y una cálida tarde éste se agitó y se agitó hasta que de sus entrañas nació un mágico ser que hoy conocemos como Bruna González Subirà. Cantan los trovadores que a para esta hada ninguna cultura ni lengua es más natural que la propia música. Los diferentes autores no se ponen de acuerdo en si procede definir un espacio-tiempo para dicho fenómeno atmosférico o si más bien se trata de una fuerza cósmica que siempre ha estado ahí, pero todos coinciden en que hubo un cataclismo en torno a 1995 que tuvo su epicentro en Aravaca, Madrid. Poco más se sabe de dicho misterio; lo único cierto es que allá donde hay ritmos frenéticos y camisas con estampados guasones podemos encontrar la destructora estela dejada por el huracán “Anika”.

A pesar del doloroso número de reclamaciones recibidas a lo largo de su carrera como tatuadora ambulante, la Sociedad de Artes Diversas consintió en calificar su existencia de “aceptable” después del mítico concierto para roedores que tuvo lugar en memoria del hamster Choki, a principios del siglo actual. Se cree que hoy en día vive al margen de la ley, dividida entre el rock y el contrabando de alcachofas.

The exhibition delves into the mystery that provokes the unknown, in this case the world that is hidden deep within us, in an ocean that still provokes a mixture of infinite curiosity and irrational fear.
