— Biography —
Santiago Vokram del Gesú is a classically trained Mexican violinist and composer and arranger. He began his musical studies at the age of 13 under the direction of the violinist José Manuel del Águila in his native country. Later Santiago continued his studies in the Faculty of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico where for the first time he embraced the sonorous and stylistic diversity and the art of inhabiting several genres. He moved to Spain, awarded by luck, to fulfill one of his great dreams: to play with the founders of the Heavy Rock group Mägo de Oz, forming part of the AmigOz and José Andrëa and Uróboros projects, with whom he has been lucky enough to travel through Latin America as part of various promotional tours, performing in front of over 11,000 people in La Paz, Bolivia, and will be continuing their tour this year as a member of the band.

Currently Santiago also collaborates with two trios of Latin American music: La Sonrisa de Cibeles (his own personal project) and Natura, as well as Madrid´s favourite street band Ataca Paca. He has recently collaborated on 3 albums released this year: The first album of Sonrisa de Cibeles (from his own band), the second album by Ataca Paca and the new album by José Andrea entitled “Bienvenidos al Medievo”.
