23 Feb – Clay Play & Non-Attachment – Session Three

Non-attachment, also expressed as detachment, is a state in which a person overcomes his or her attachment to desire for things, people or concepts of the world and thus attains a heightened perspective.

In each of these two-hour workshops we’ll create a vessel by hand using clay as our medium. All instructions will be given in English. This workshop is a two-fold exercise in learning about clay and a lesson in non-attachment.

There are four sessions in this workshop series beginning with pinch pots, next is coil pots, slabs, and the last session is free form. This is the third session and we’ll be using the slab method..

The slab method used square slabs of clay to create boxes or types of additions like feet or lids for vessels.

Each session is independent and stands alone. You may attend one session, two, three or all four. Each session is 10€ per person. This pays for clay and drinks.
