Sergio Salvador, together with Carlos Gutiérrez on the clarinet, gives away an intimate show called ‘Circular’, consisting of original songs. The audience can easily feel identified with the lyrics and will reflect on him- or herself leading to a cathartic experience. The songs are personal stories in a framework of social criticism. The search for identity and social awareness are recurrent themes throughout the show. Topics as refugees, war, bullying and relationships are just a bunch of examples Sergio and Carlos sing about.
Sergio Salvador nos ofrece junto a Carlos Gutiérrez al clarinete, un show íntimo llamado ‘Circular’, que lleva al espectador a reflexionar sobre sí mismo y a sentir una experiencia catártica. A través de microhistorias conectadas por un marco de crítica social, se tratan la búsqueda de identidad y la consciencia social. Las canciones versan sobre la crisis de refugiados, la guerra, el bullying y las relaciones personales.
Biography
Sergio Salvador moved from the Netherlands to Spain in 2016. His Spanish inland roots are reflected in his intense and personal songs reminiscing of classics as Kings of Convenience, Glen Hansard and Ryan Adams. After playing with his band Bill Spooner, Sergio started doing solo gigs. Nowadays he’s performing in Madrid with Carlos on the clarinet and he’s finishing his first EP to be released in April 2018. Carlos started playing clarinet at the age of 8 and finished his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
Sergio Salvador es un cantautor hispano-holandés que se trasladó de los Países Bajos a Madrid en 2016. Sus raíces de la región interior de España se dejan sentir en sus canciones intensas y muy personales. Recuerdan a artistas como Kings of Convenience, Glen Hansard y Ryan Adams. Tras tocar con su grupo, Bill Spooner, Sergio empezó a actuar principalmente en solitario. Actualmente está dando conciertos en Madrid con el clarinetista Carlos Gutiérrez y grabando un EP. Carlos (Ciudad Real) empezó su formación a las 8 años y finalizó sus estudios en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid.
