Tommy in the Trees is a British singer-songwriter based in Madrid. He has been writing songs for close to twenty years and draws influence from an upbringing immersed in soul music mixed with eclectic British rock. The music has grooves with accessible melodies and hooks. As the musicianship and song-writing have matured, Tommy’s skill at constructing simple but precise and passionate lyrics shines through enabling the listener to appreciate small biographies of the musician’s life by seeing through a framed window into the sentiment and emotion that inspired the piece. His earlier work was more introspective but the later compositions show a wider perception of the world that connect more universally.

Tommy in the trees es un cantante/autor residente en Madrid. Empezó a escribir canciones hace 20 anos. Su inspiración y influencias derivan de su educación sumergida en música soul mesclada con lo mas eclético rock británico. La música que hace se caracteriza por melodías y refranes accesibles y fácil de relacionarse. Mientras su musicalidad y letras maduran, la capacidad de Tommy para crear sencillas pero precisas y apasionantes letras brilla al dejar el publico apreciar pequeñas biografias de su vida, observando todo el sentimiento y emociones que han inspirado la canción. Su trabajo anterior ha sido mas introspectivo pero mas tarde su composiciones han mostrado una percepción mas amplia de un mondo que se conecta mas universalmente.
