Greg Gobel is a reclusive maverick American musician living in Madrid. He arrived in 2004 after seven years in Prague and before that, Nashville and his hometown, Cleveland. Whether playing under his own name or in his Impermanent Band, he mixes traditional Americana folk elements, punk, country, garage rock, sonic exploration and ambient experimentation. The resulting sound is best described as his unique Interstellar Americana style. Greg is a multi-instrumentalist who plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass, clarinet, harmonica, mandolin, ukulele and just about anything else he can get his hands on. In the words of Indie Star Music Mag, Greg is ‘el hombre orquestra’, the one-man band. Greg’s lyrical content ranges from heavy emotion (themes like love, death, hope) to observational irreverence (lighter themes like energy vampires, dogsitting, the trials and tribulations of running slowly) to wistful nostalgia.

Ya sea tocando bajo su propio nombre o en su Impermanent Band, mezcla elementos tradicionales de la música americana, punk, country, garage rock, exploración sonora y experimentación ambiental. El sonido resultante se describe mejor como su estilo único ‘americana interestelar’.
