Aaron Torres began playing classical guitar at a young age. He attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and studied under the tutelage of Michael Partington, David Feingold and Aidrien Wilkins amongst others. His repertoire ranges from the Baroque sounds of Johann Sebastian Bach, Argentine composer Agustin Barrios Mangore and the Spanish music of Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albéniz and many others.

This concert’s program will include interpretations of J.S. Bach, Manuel Ponce, maybe Villa Lobos, some jazz arrangements including Misty, Stella by Starlight and Someday My Prince Will Come. Additionally, an arrangement of Bill Evans “Waltz for Debby”, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Erik Satie’s “Gymnopedie no. 1”, a piece by Gaspar Sanz called “Canarios” and a little Issac Albeniz.
