Jake Shane grew up in Illinois. He got lost in the recesses of the early blues and American folk traditions and found himself living in Nashville, where he recorded his Dostoevskian debut album, Ancient Fire (2012) and spent time working for legendary singer-songwriter John Prine while also earning a degree in Philosophy.
Jake moved to Madrid, Spain, in 2012, where he became immersed in flamenco and wrote the songs to his second album, Evening Sounds. Martin Chilton from The Daily Telegraph has written: “Jake Shane’s album Evening Sounds neatly blends folk, Americana and even some Spanish influences from his time in Madrid in pleasant melodies with some clever lyrics on songs such as ‘Before Winter’ and ‘Seascape’. An enjoyable listen.”
After two years in Madrid, Jake became itinerant for three years, spending a few months in a dozen places and several countries. He recently moved back to Spain where he earns his living as a touring singer-songwriter and continues to refine his image-driven lyrics and explore the eternal questions through American roots music with Spanish overtones, forming a sound entirely his own.
Jake Shane se crió en Illinois. Se perdió en los vericuetos del blues temprano y de las tradiciones folk estadounidenses y acabó viviendo en Nahsville, donde grabó su álbum de debut de tintes dostoievskianos, Ancient Fire (2012), y estuvo un tiempo trabajando a las órdenes del legendario cantautor John Prime, mientras se sacaba una licenciatura en Filosofía.
Se trasladó a Madrid en 2012, y ahí se zambulló de lleno en el flamenco y escribió las canciones de su segundo disco, Evening Sounds. Martin Chilton, del The Daily Telegraph, escribió: «El álbum de Jake Shane, Evening Sounds, fusiona con elegancia folk, americana e incluso algunas influencias españolas de su etapa en Madrid en agradables melodías y letras inteligentes, como las que nos encontramos en las canciones “Before Winter” y “Seascape”. Escucharlo es todo un disfrute».
Tras dos años en Madrid, Jake se dedicó a recorrer mundo durante tres años, quedándose durante un par de meses en numerosos ciudades de varios países. Hace poco ha vuelto a España. Se gana la vida yendo de gira con su música mientras sigue puliendo sus vívidos versos y explorando cuestiones eternas mediante su música roots estadounidense con tintes españoles, que da lugar a un sonido absolutamente único.

Erin “Marisol” Corine (Founder and Creative Director of El Salon del Artist) is a multi-genre flutist, vocalist, music educator and interdisciplinary artist native to Chicago, Illinois. Currently based in Madrid Spain, Erin holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in classical, contemporary and world music performance from two prestigious institutions: the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Berklee College of Music.
Erin brings to the stage a vibrant fusion of her own Southern tradition rooted in gospel and blues while telling the story of her musical journey through the languages, folkloric traditions and popular music of Latin-America, the Afro-Caribbean, France, Spain and the Mediterranean through original compositions, arrangements of traditional tunes and her own spiritual-and-poetry-inspired songwriting.
Erin «Marisol» Corine (fundadora y directora creativa de El Salón del Artista) es una flautista, vocalista, educadora musical y artista interdisciplinar y que se mueve en varios géneros musicales procedente de Chicago, Illinois. Residente en Madrid, cuenta con una licenciatura y un máster en Interpretación de música clásica, contemporánea y del mundo de dos prestigiosas instituciones: la Universidad de Illinois en Urbana-Champaign y el Berklee College of Music.
Lleva al escenario una dinámica fusión de su propia tradición sureña, basada en el góspel y el blues, mientras narra la historia de su travesía musical a través de los idiomas, folclore y música popular de América Latina, los países afrocaribeños, Francia, España y el Mediterráneo mediante composiciones originales, arreglos de melodías tradicionales y sus propias letras, poéticas y espirituales.

Erik Sjøholm is an independent singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Finland currently based in Madrid, Spain. His style combines several genres ranging from roots to alternative to soul, including influences like Paul Simon, Ed Sheeran, Damian Rice, Bruce Springsteen among others.
Erik released in 2009 his first E.P « Endless » and decided shortly after to invest more time in studying music. After graduation and a couple of years making a living from playing covers he returned the focus to his solo act and released in 2016 a single « Ray of light », an E.P « The Pearl » and an album « Walkabout » alongside several impressive music videos on youtube.
Since his album release he´s been touring through Portugal, Spain, Luxemburg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Finland, Sweden and Germany, to share his music in various scenes around Europe. Erik is now planning his next album as well as continuing touring around Europe.
Erik Sjøholm es un cantautor, productor y multiinstrumentista independiente procedente de Finlandia que reside actualmente en Madrid. Su estilo combina diversos géneros que van desde el roots al soul alternativo, incluyendo influencias como Paul Simon, Ed Sheeran, Damian Rice y Bruce Springsteen entre otros.
Erik lanzó en 2009 su primer E.P., «Endless», y poco después decidió que quería invertir más tiempo en estudiar música. Tras graduarse y pasar un par de años ganándose la vida tocando versiones, volvió a centrarse en su carrera en solitario y lanzó en 2016 el sencillo «Ray of light», el E.P. «The Pearl» y el álbum «Walkabout», junto con varios impactantes vídeos musicales en YouTube.
Desde el lanzamiento de su álbum ha estado de gira por Portugal, España, Luxemburgo, Bélgica, Holanda, Finlandia, Suecia y Alemania para compartir su música en varios escenarios europeos. Actualmente, Erik está planeando su próximo disco, mientras sigue recorriendo Europa.
