Program Description: Instruction and demonstration of fundamental techniques of hand building pottery – wedging, pinching, coiling, slabs.
The Art of Chemistry: An Introduction to Clay and Handbuilding
This is a 3-month course for those interested in learning the history of ceramics, fundamental techniques and decoration of handbuilt pottery. The course consists of eleven 4-hour classes or twenty-two 2-hour classes. Classes are held Monday through Friday, 10:00 – 2:00 and 17.00 – 21.00. This 44-hour course is 450euros which includes materials, studio space, the kiln firing, some tools for your use (you may decide to purchase your own) and instruction.
