Nichole’s advisor Henry Freedman retired the same year. After graduating, she lived and worked for five years in Japan studying their aesthetics, Tea Ceremony, and history with Sainen Tokii in Kishiwada City in Osaka Prefecture. She returned to the United States in 2004 and through continuing education at Keene State College she did a semester on Japanese-style dining ware sets and another developing glazes.
In 2014, she published a book of poetry titled A Remedy For Love containing poems, prose and photographs. She continues to write poetry and collaborate with poets in Madrid today. Nichole is working on a second book of poems.
Also in 2014, she sold several photos to the regional magazine Here in Hanover and worked with independent musicians coordinating photoshoots. Today her work consists mostly of event photography for Living Room Concerts, a group she created and organises private events she hosts. Nichole has also been a production assistant and consultant for Silberfarb Films in Vermont. In addition to taking photos she has been on the other end of the camera modelling for several photographers over the past few years, most recently Jack Rowell and David Trullo.
In early 2015, Nichole relocated to Madrid Spain. She is associated with the Escuela de Ceramica de la Moncloa where she continues to develop her current body of work. Nichole may also be found at La Galeria Factoria where she teaches workshops and private lessons on wheel-thrown pottery and their decorative techniques. She also teaches handbuilding workshops and private lessons out of her home.
